Miamia stolen from prime position
A well-built miamia, nestled in a prime shooting possie on the banks of Lake Ellesmere, has flown by night. The miamia, among the best lining the shore near the Greenpark Huts, was stolen about a week ago.
The thieves have feathered their own duckshooting nest by sawing
off the posts of the miamia to remove it. Constable Rex Hallinan, of Lincoln, said it was probably dismantled for removal.
It is the only reported theft of a miamia in recent times. It came with built-in decoys, 20 of which were inside when it was removed.
