Going public
Public performances of theatresports are due to begin at the Court Theatre in September.
Local tournaments are planned throughout New Zealand in the next few months and organisers hope to stage a national series next year. An international tournament is scheduled for the 1988 Expo in Brisbane at which a New Zealand
team may participate.
The Christchurch season of theatresports will begin on September 20. The games will be played over eight consecutive Sundays, finishing with the Theatresports Superpro Grand Slam Final on November 8. The Court Theatre is organising a training week-end for prospective teams on August 1 and 2.
