Sparkling lace All the nice colours Flies fly into webs The icicles hanging on the webs Shine like jewels with colours in them The spider throws his net When the flies fly into webs, It’s time for them to die. — MARIA SYMONS, aged nine.'''' Spider webs Delicate shiny lace Glistening in the morning sun Shiny bits of silver dew Holding on to sticky thread Death is hiding under sparkling glass. — BRENDON SLAPE, aged nine. Spider webs Have rainbow dew Shiny, sticky, gluey webs Flies get stuck in the web The spider bites them They will never awake again. — TIM LUCAS, aged nine. Spider webs Sparkling eyes, silver dew drops That glisten in the sun Icicles that /ingle like glass With rainbows coming through.
