Toyota New Zealand, Ltd, has become a force in Group A touring car racing through the involvement of the former Formula One racing driver, Chris Amon, as the company's engineering consultant. He runs Team Toyota New Zealand under the umbrella of Toyota New Zealand at Paraparaumu and is seen here with two of his technicians, who are preparing a 2 litre Celica GT for Group A racing. Amon will be in attendance at the official opening of Toyota’s new Riccarton dealership, Ham Toyota, at the corner of Riccarton and Wharenui Roads, on Saturday.
