Cricket women seek history

The New Zealand Women’s Cricket Council is gathering information on its histoiy of nearly 55 years and is seeking the support of affiliated associations and clubs. Associations and women who have retired from the game are being asked to search through scrapbooks and records of meetings which could help to swell the story for the N.Z.W.C.C. The council is looking in particular for records of games — good innings and bad - incidents and

anecdotes that will turn the history of the council from a mere recital to a story of those who remember the joys of cricket.

Very early club and college records will be especially welcomed as well as the minutes of the inaugural meeting of the New Zealand Council.

Photocopies of clippings and originals of photographs, all dated and origin annotated should be sent to Mrs Iris Latham, P.O. Box 30-222, Lower Hutt.
