We have been asked to identify a progressive and professional young executive to complement the Christchurch The appointee will report to the Branch Manager and assume account management responsibility for a number of existing sites. Of vital importance however will be the challenge to identify and create further new opportunities for Wang throughout the South Island. The company addresses a broad spectrum of legal, accounting, manufacturing/distribution and retail markets in addition to providing a wide range of commercial business solutions. The appointee will have the benefit of local in-house engineering and customer support, access to software professionals and the expertise of specialist executives throughout Wang New Zealand. We invite response from young executives with drive, initiative and a demonstrable record of achievement which may or may not have been achieved in the computer industry. The ability to liaise with and conduct business dealings at executive level is vital. An over-all knowledge of general commercial business practices is important and whilst an understanding of manufacturing/production systems is desirable, the appointee could well come from any number of professional business backgrounds such as merchant banking, financial services, accounting, legal or other professions. Opportunities of this nature are rare in the South Island, therefore we believe this challenge should appeal to young executives seeking increased responsibilities and future management prospects within an outstandingly successful company.
