Lands Dept appointment
PA Wellington The appointment of Mr Bill Robertson as directorgeneral surveyor-general, Department of Survey and Land Information, has been announced. Mr Robertson would be responsible for managment of the department and advising the Minister on all aspects of survey, mapping and land information within New Zealand, said the State Services Commission. He would also be responsible for the provision of land data bases and survey and charting information services for civilian and military purposes.
Mr Robertson is at present deputy directorgeneral deputy surveyorgeneral in the department.
