Sir,—There is good evidence In two recent opinion polls, which between them researched the views of more than 2000 New ; Zealanders, that the great majority of people in this country wish • Christian morality to be taught in , State schools. The one poll, The National Religious and Social Opinion poll, was undertaken by Ralph Bradley, of Gisborne. Of 1447 people polled; 1010 thought the Teh Commandments should be the basis, onteaching in New Zealand schools,, lit the other poll; conducted ’ last year by A.G.B. McNalr.offlOOO people questioned, 93 - per cent agreed with the last six Commandments, and 86 per cent thought they should be-toUght in schools.
