NZPA-Reuter Santa Cruz, Boliva
Fourteen of 16 people aboard a plane belonging to Bolivia’s State-owned oil firm were killed when the aircraft crashed near Santa Cruz, the company said yesterday. Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos said two of the passengers
“miraculously survived” the crash of the Twin Otter plane DHC-6, whose wreckage was found 25km from the city. It gave no further details or conditions of the survivors.
The plane, bound for Santa Cruz from the southern oil town of Camiri, crashed amid air turbulence and a drizzle, the firm said.
