Just a Star has form to win Rotorua feature

Special correspondent Auckland Just a Star has a disadvantage to overcome, with such a wide barrier draw, but she should be in the finish, nevertheless, of the Rotorua Racing Club’s weight-for-age feature at Rotorua tomorrow. While the field for the 1400 metre Travelodge Stakes promises to be right up to the starting limit of 15, few are able to claim the form shown by Just a Star during the last 18 months or so. Shahzamani and Maggie Bee are others, though, which need to be considered. Both have competed well in Class 1, which is more than can be said for most of their opponents. Just a Star, a four-year-old mare from Woodville, has a pretty good strike rate of wins and placings — five and 12 from 32 attempts.
