Nominations for the other positions are:— North Island seats on the executive (two vacancies): Messrs Wally Courtman (Cambridge), Noel Taylor (Auckland) and Terry Killalea (Wellington). Messrs Taylor and Killalea are retiring members. South Island seats on the executive (three vacancies): Messrs Viv Anngow (Forbury Park), Robin Corcoran (N.Z. Metropolitan), Don Fowler (Nelson), Ron Hamilton (Winton), Alaster McDonald (New Brighton) and Les Woods (Banks Peninsula). Messrs Anngow and Woods are retiring members. North Island seat on the Authority: Messrs Charles Elliott (Morrinsville), Robertshaw and Taylor. The retiring member,

Mr Merv. Corner (Auckland), did not seek reelection. South Island seat on the Authority: Messrs Barry Barber (Waikouaiti), Bob Duff (Canterbury Park).

Mr Duff at present holds the seat.

Mr George Shand (Washdyke) and the sitting member, Mr Pat O’Brien (Blenheim) have been nominated to represent the three kindred associations on the Authority. Their nominations have been received by the Trotting Owners, Trainers and Breeders’ Association. When the association has decided on its representative, it will have discussions on the subject with the Horsemen’s Association and the breeders’ division of the Harness Horse Association.
