Consulate burgled

PA Auckland Burglars broke their way into the American Consulate’s central Auckland offices early yesterday. The consulate was one of at least four offices in the Shortland Street building entered by burglars. Cash and other property was taken, but no items of a diplomatic nature appeared to be missing, Detective Inspector Noel Plumer said. The police apprehended two men seen leaving the building.
