U.S. coup backer?
PA Hamilton The United States is likely to be a strong backer of the Fiji coup, if not its perpetrator, said a Waikato University senior lecturer, Dr Wayne Robinson, yesterday.
The United States was alarmed at the prospect of a nuclear-ship ban being imposed by the Fiji Government, and would also have been disturbed at the prospect of Fiji’s moving gradually into the non-aligned world, he said.
