WATER RESOURCES OFFICER The successful applicant will assist with the management of the water resources of the Bay of Plenty. It is expected that applicants will hold an appropriate tertiary qualification and have had some experience In the field of water resource management. The salary for the position is up to $38,875. ADMINISTRATION OFFICER The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing the Commission meetings and the day to day running of the administrative support services for the Commission. It Is expected that applicants will hold a New Zealand Certificate in Local Body Administration or equivalent and have had three to five years experience in local authority administration. The salary for the position is up to $34,848. ASSISTANT SOIL CONSERVATOR The successful applicant of this position is to be based in the Commission’s Rotorua office and will be responsible principally for assisting in the preparation and Implementation of soil and water conservation proposals as part of the Kaituna Catchment Control Scheme scheduled for completion in 1990. It Is expected that applicants will hold an appropriate tertiary qualification. The position has a salary range bf $28,224 to $35,855. An appointment at the lower end of this range with scope for advancement is proposed. Successful applicants for the first two positions would live in Whakatane or environs and would therefore enjoy the climatic and recreational benefits of the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
