Oncology centre opened
PA Auckland A new oncology centre has been officially opened at Auckland Hospital by the Governor-General, Sir Paul Reeves. Treatment by radiotherapy and chemotherapy will be' available for up to 150 outpatients a day when the unit is fully working. The centre is designed to cater for the needs of Auckland and Northland until the year 2000. Research facilities and a teaching area are also included in the block.
