Good-quality Red weaner hinds exceeded $l3OO each during a steady sale of weaner hinds and stags in Christchurch yesterday. Prices of stock from well known bloodlines were described as fully firm on recent private sales. Weaner hinds in the 55kg to 59kg weight range sold at a healthy premium over lighter stock. The top price for Red weaner hinds was $1375 for a pen of five with an average weight of 59.4 kg from Ranch Deer Farm, of Balclutha.
