Te Maori exhibition to end
Te Maori, the exhibition of Maori art which has sent the attendance record for the Robert McDougall Art. Gallery soaring, will end on Sunday.
The gallery has counted about 130,000 visitors to the exhibition, and its director, Mr John Coley, expects a final total of more than 140,000 when the show closes.
People, including guides, who have helped with the exhibition said goodbye to the exhibits at a function last evening. A ceremony which is open to the public will be held at 5 p.m. to close the exhibition. There will be four speakers, including the Minister of Maori Affairs, Mr Wetere.
