Man charged in hospital
PA Hamilton A man was arrested in his Waikato Hospital bed on Tuesday and charged with murder.
The man, aged 21, whose name has not been given, was found beside the body of a university student, Caroline Emma Geange, aged 18, in a flat in Hamilton East on May 4.
He was suffering from extensive stab wounds.
A special court sitting might be convened at Waikato Hospital and the man formally charged, said Detective Sergeant Lex Dency, of the Hamilton C. 1.8.
