Dance exports

Dance Exponents leave New Zealand on June 10 to try out the British music scene. Jordan Luck, the band’s lead vocalist, said that there had been a demand for the group’s latest album, “Amplifier,”, in Britain, and it had been decided to go there. The band was now down to a three-piece, himself, Chris Sheep, and Brian Jones, and they would all be heading for the U.K. for an “indeterminate” period.

The demand for the Dance Exponents records had always been present in Britain, purely by word of mouth. This included “Prayers Be Answered” and “Great Expectations,” and copies had sold well in Britain. Dance Exponents were now looking for a venue in Christchurch for a farewell concert before leaving for Britain. They had been playing electric and acoustic songs as a three-piece in Auckland, Luck said.
