Attack 'uncalled for’
Wellington reporter
The promotional value of the rugby World Cup deserved Government support, not attacks by the Prime Minister, said a National member of Parliament, Mr Tony Friedlander, yesterday. Mr Lange has stated that no Cabinet Minister will attend any match which involved players who had toured South Africa last year as Cavaliers. He also said it woul dbe wrong for a . Royal family member to attend.
Mr Friedlander said the Prime Minister’s churlish attack on the rugby tournament was uncalled for and unacceptable to most sports people.
