Les Miserables

Qantas, one of the sponsors for the “Les Miserables” show to open in Sydney later this year is offering tickets to New Zealand travellers.

The airline is offering seats during “preview week” in late November to people travelling with four tour companies. Two hundred seats have been held for the six preview shows from November 21 to 27.

The Australian Tourist Commission’s New Zea-

land manager, Mr Bernie Schulz, said the show’s predecessor, “Cats,” had brought large numbers of New Zealanders to Sydney. The promoters of “Les Miserables” hoped that show would also.

Already demand for tickets was high for the show which had played to audiences in London, New York and Tokyo. The show will follow “Cats,” which is moving to Melbourne. '
