ONE of the most revolutionary products to find its way to my desk recently was a capsule of pills marked Yves Saint Laurent My immediate reaction.'.. “I’ve now seen it all.” Y.S.L. is creating designer medicine. Naturally it prompted me to read the attached material and I quickly learned it is part of a new beauty programme. Amazing. How does it work? It is actually a carefully worked out programme designed to enable women to pursue or rediscover the youthful energy of their skin. The 21 black and white capsules are accompanied in a box with a 40ml jar of cream and a black spatula to measure out the exact amount and to maintain the purity of the cream.

Please note the capsules are not for taking orally. Principle Actif is designed to be used in a 21-day course of treatment at night. Every night after cleansing pour the contents of one capsule into the palm of your hand. Using the spatula you a small amount of cream and mix together with the fingertips. At the end of 21 days you use the cream on its own to sustain and optimise the beneficial effects of the treatment.

winter by Estee Lauder. Called “Soft Finish Eye Shadow-Colour Rythms Monochromatics — 04,” the compact set comprises three strong softly pearlised grey powders ranging from soft to deep charcoal and includes a greyish white for eye highlighting. This is an excellent compact for women looking for greys to match in with grey black fashion. The charcoal shade is also a great eye deepener for evening.

Eye definer is the new way to shape, define and dramatise eyes. Estee Lauder’s eye definer can be used to shape and contour at inner and outer corners of the eyes; define by applying along upper and lower lashlines; highlight brows — a new way to add colour.

Eye definer is unique — the powdery colour is held and controlled inside the cap and released onto a sponge applicator. Before opening, grasp both ends. Twist forward then back to release colour — no pressure is> necessary. After applying, be sure to click cap back into place. The product is fra-grance-free.
