Coastal Trader sold
The Coastal Trader will return to her native Finland 10 metres longer than when she left in 1973.
The New Zealand Line’s 6736-tonne vessel' ran a weekly service between Auckland, Lyttelton and Dunedin for 12 years, until last November. In 1983 her cargo capacity was increased when she was lengthened by the insertion of a 10-metre body section. The Coastal Trader was built in 1972 and worked between Finland and Sweden before coming to New Zealand. The Shipping Corporation, the New Zealand Line’s parent company, has sold the vessel to Finnish interests. ARRIVALS Kapitan Artjukh (6.30 a.m.), 9548, Wellington (Scales).
