‘Dog Doomed’
“Dog Doomed” is a class effort from Room 3 at Prebbleton school. The class got together to make up its own version of “Footrot Flats.” Lost, shivering, sad and sorry
Wind howling like a wild beast
Rain heaving, pounding, battering. The river rushing, ferocious,' murky Feeling lonesome, terrified, miserable. I wish Wai was here now He’d know what to do. My only hope — to cross the tatty old bridge
Here goes — first step Swaying, creaking terror
Oh I wish I was at home, chewing oh scrumptious scraps Knees knocking, teeth chattering Eyes widening, stomach rumbling Clinging on tight, softly, weeping Carefully sneaking, dodging Leaping across the rotten spooky, trembling monster. Fourth step, 5,6, 7,8, whoops, 9, ; U0, 11, 12, 13 Last step.
