Big A.I.D.S. campaign
PA Wellington The Government is planning a big A.I.D.Sawareness campaign. Money will be set aside in the Budget to fund It, the Minister of Health, Dr Bassett, said yesterday. Full details of the campaign would be announced soon, he said. The Health Department would run it with the A.I.D.S. Foundation and other groups. • The intention to run a
campaign was revealed in a statement in response to. comments made on television by the Opposition spokesman on health, Mr Paul East, who said the Government ' was not doing enough to stop the spread of A.I.D.S. Dr Bassett .said Mr East’s comments were a “dishonest ploy” because he had told him in confidence about the proposed campaign last week.
