Seven heaters passed
Seven heating appliances have been approved for permits by the Christchurch City Council. The council’s buildings engineer, Mr Bryan Bluck, last month halted permits for the installation of appliances until manufacturers provided necessary documents on safety and clean air tests. Until then no appliance had been tested and none had the documents and installation instructions verifying the tests, he said. Now the council has a list of seven appliances for which all the necessary information is available. Permits are being issued for the installation of these appliances only.
