CHIEF EXECUTIVE FOR HILLARY COMMISSION Mr G. M. (Gregory) Aim has been appointed Chief Executive of the newlyformed Hillary Commission and assumed duties on May 4. Mr Aim is a former Executive Director of the Shell New Zealand Holding Company Limited and was Director of Planning, Public Affairs and NonTraditional Business. The Hillary Commission is an independent statutory body established on April 1,1987 which has taken over from the Council and Ministry of Recreation and Sport. The Commission’s aim is to encourage active leisure opportunities for all New Zealanders through participation in sport and recreation. It will foster existing z programmes and organisations and support the development of new activities. Mr Aim has been involved in sport and recreation both professionally and personally. He was a Wellington and Otago cricket representative and was instrumental in developing Shell’s sponsorship of the Shell Cricket Senes.
