Aesthetic appeal as guideline
Aesthetic appeal will be one of the strongest, guidelines followed when establishing the Technology Park. The concept of the park is to provide an attractively landscaped, low density estate with architecturally designed yet functional buildings. With this desire in mind several check points must be met to satisfy the reasons for the park. The roadway will meander through the park while associated pavements will not necessarily be aligned parallel to the roadway. This will help increase the park atmosphere. Although the number and location of actual buildings has not yet been finalised, the buildings will have to be archi-
tecturally designed and be required to blend with the over-all environment. Users will be encouraged to provide for 360 degree appeal in building design breaking away from the tradition of buildings with a front and back. Lighting will be incorporated in the landscaping for added attraction and to assist with security. Boundary fences will not be in existence with landscaping being used to separate properties. When completed, the parkland will be outstanding visually both in the buildings and the surrounding landscaping. It will offer the companies and their employees in the zone and the owners and occupiers of adjacent properties a pleasing outlook.
