Redgum, an Australian rock group has released a record, “Roll It On, Robbie,” promoting condoms as a way of avoiding Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (A.1.D.5.), NZPA Reuters reports from Sydney. The group advises young people not to take any chances with A.I.D.S. and use condoms when having sex. The chorus of the upbeat song sums up the message: “Roll it on Robbie ’ “Slip it on, Sam “If you want to play it
safe >, “If you want to be secure “Remember prevention Is better than a cure?’ Officials of the Roman Catholic Church failed to have the record banned. “The song flippantly t glorifies sexual promiscu- 1 ity,” said Ron McKern, a spokesman for the Church in Queensland. Dianne Bailey, the group’s publicist, said the band had wanted to include a condom . with every record. The record publishers were worried about the legalities of this.
