Tourist trade training grant
PA Wellington New Zealand has granted $lO,OOO to the Pacific Asia Travel Association Foundation for training and education purposes. An association executive member, Mr Rodney Davies, said the foundation was set up to better tourism industry training throughout the South Pacific and to promote the conservation of culture and heritage within the region. “Education and training are of prime importance to our own visitor industry,” said the general manager of the Tourist and Publicity Department, Mr Neil Piimmer. r
