Immunisation
Sir, —I was pleased to see (April 8) the picture of the Plunket nurse and public health nurse and to read about the World Health Day immunisation programme. It is always heartening to see different organisations working together for the good of the community. There was another group of people who gave a great deal of time to ensure that the parents of children who may have needed injections were contacted about the programme. The Plunket volunteers, the unpaid, , unsung heroines of the Plunket Society, spent many hours telephoning hundreds of people toinform them about Tuesday’s events. They deserve a mention and a vote of thanks from us all. — Yours, etc., VALERIE A. MOORE. April 11, 1987.
