T-bills ease
PA Wellington Interest rates on Treasury bills eased at yesterday’s $BO million tender.
The rates saw 56-day bills sell for an average of 25.153 per cent compared with 25.497 per cent for the same length bills at last week’s tender.
Interest rates for longer term 77-day bills were also easier at an average
of 24.833 per cent compared with 24.968 per cent in the previous tender.
Three month or 98-day bills sold for a weighted average of 24.7 per cent. Dealers bid $3Ol million for the $BO million on offer. Tender details.—
56-day bills: Offered SISM, bid S6OM, sold SISM, successful yields 25.14 per cent to 25.18 per cent, weighted average 25.153 per cent, (previous average 25.497 per cent). 77-day bills: Offered S3OM, bid SUSM, sold S3OM, successful yields 24.78 per cent to 24.88 per cent, weighted average 24.833 per cent, (previous average 24.968 per cent).
98-day bills: Offered S3SM, bid SI26M, sold S3SM, successful yields 24.53 per cent to 24.80 per cent, weighted average 24.70 per cent.
