Roofing for Rarotonga
PA Auckland More than $50,000 worth of roofing steel is being shipped to Rarotonga to help rebuild after the effects of Cyclone Sally earlier this year. The roofing steel, given by A.H.I. employees, is enough to roof more than 30 houses or make substantial repairs.
Workers at A.H.I. gave money and volunteered their labour for the production run to make the roofing. Many of the employees are Cook Islanders and a recent holiday trip by Mr Stuart Hayman, manager of A.H.I. Roofing Manufacturing, to Rarotonga led to the decision to help.
