Shipping
Peak continuance likely
The peak in shipping movements through the Port of Lyttelton is likely to continue into next week. There has been pressure on berths and labour to work ships since the end of the national waterfront strike 'last month. Earlier this week port authorities said that the port was the busiest it had been for 20 years. Movements schedule indicate that the busy period will continue until the middle of next week. Six ships are expected in port today, and another five are scheduled to sail. Tomorrow will also be busy, with four arrivals expected.
