Fire-fighters’ court action adjourned
PA Wellington A High Court decision will be made today on the bid to stop fire-fighters from striking. The Fire Service Commission applied for an injunction at a special hearing last evening to stop the Central Region Fire Brigades’ Union from inciting, instigating or
continuing its strike action.
Fire-fighters have been calling one-hour daily strikes for more than a fortnight! The union opposed the application during the three-hour court hearing. Mr Justice Jeffries, after hearing submissions from both sides, adjourned overnight.
