Financial help today
Families affected by the Oxford fires in February should receive financial help from the Oxford Fire Fund today. Cheques totalling about $115,000 were posted to nine families yesterday, said the Oxford County Clerk, Mr Kevin Felstead. A total of $120,000 had been given from throughout New Zealand but $5OOO was being kept back as a contingency fund, said the County Chairman, Mr Peter Morran.
