■ ® Government Life ELECTION OF DIRECTORS BY POLICYHOLDERS CALL FOR NOMINATIONS SECTION 3(3) (b) of the Government Life Insurance Corporation Act 1987 has changed the number of directors of the Corporation to be elected by policyholders to two. ' The term of the present elected director expires in June. Therefore nominations are called for the two positions of elected director. The procedures for the nominations and election of policy-holder representatives are set out in the Government Life Insurance Corporation Elec- , tion Order 1983 (SR 1983/291) which is available from the Government Printer. WHO IS ELIGIBLE? To be eligible for election a person has to be a policy-holder and at least 18 years of age. The following people are ineligible: employees or agents of the Corporation, employees, agents, or professional associates of any other organisation conducting the business of life insurance or reinsurance in New Zealand, Members of Parliament, and undischarged bankrupts. NOMINATION Candidates need to be nominated by two policyholders who are at least 18 years of age and to forward the following information with their nomination: (a) Full name and date of birth. (b) Usual residential address. (c) Professional and business occupations (if any). (d) A statement not exceeding 50 words for inclusion in public advertisements should an election be required.
