Catering for children’s special needs
Children usually eat faster than adults and they become impatient if mum and dad want to enjoy another drink or cup of coffee. To cater for children’s special needs, the Galaxy has a lunar shuttle which is guaranteed to entertain them for a long time. The idea came from another restaurant Mr Greenwood had in Timaru. That one was .based on aviation ’themes. After discussions with
his own children, he set up a special children’s room adjoining the Timaru restaurant. It was set out with airlinetype seating. Friendship aircraft windows, and inflight movies were shown. The lunar shuttle at the Galaxy is entered through a black tunnel which has special-effect lighting. Inside, the circular room has a video for showing cartoons, a blackboard, and seating that might be appropriate for a spacecraft. -
