Air Force Museum

Sir,—The fiftieth anniversary parade and flying display conducted by the R.N.Z.A.F. at Wigram was worthy of the highest praise from those privileged to attend. The five squadrons of men and women participating in the parade were drawn from Air Force stations throughout New Zealand, and ably demonstrated the value of high standards of discipline and selfpride engendered in the three services. Congratulations to all the men and women participating. A few of the “geriatrics” attending were trained on No. 1 Pilots’ Course or served on ground staff in 1937, and it was

heartwarming for us to see the last surviving Avro 626 (No. 203) performing so ably after 50 years. It is fair to say that the museum is truly magnificent in conception and execution. I believe that most of the "peaceniks” utilising your columns ad nauseam would feel a twinge of conscience by visiting Wigram. — Yours, etc., C. W. BROMLEY. April 2, 1987.
