Herbal recipe for baldness

An 85-year-old British herbal recipe to promote hair growth is claimed to have achieved success in Iceland, West Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Scandinavia, writes George Cunningham of the London Press Service.

A college lecturer, Mrs Dorothy Gleave from Lancashire, found an old book of recipes a relative had kept. “I thought it would simply be for cakes and I had it for 20 years before I found the hair growth recipe.” With the help of a chemist, she established the amounts of herbs to be used and tried it on her husband who was going bald. “His hair began to grow again, so we gave it to friends — eventually the demand took over,” she says.

“Quite a number of people are sceptical to begin with, and rightly so,” she adds. “There

have been many preparations over the years claiming to grow hair, many of which have not worked. But once people try this one they find it is good.” .
