Working displays are a major feature of all South Island Machinery Field Days, in Lincoln and in Gore, and farmers where very interested in the performances of hay balers during the 1983 field days at Lincoln. Provision of space and facilities for these demonstrations is a big organisation job for the Young Farmers Club which run the field days, but the opportunity to make comparisons while machinery is in action is very much appreciated by farmers.
