Adsteam issue The Adelaide Steamship Company, Ltd, directors said the sAust22B million expected to be raised from the earlier announced one-for-five rights issue would be used for general working capital and investment. The rights issue, which will be followed by a one-four-bonus issue, was announced with the release of December half year earnings which rose 35 per cent to an equity accounted net profit of sAust7s.osM. Brambles buy Brambles Industries, Ltd, said it has agreed to acquire 58 per cent of French rail wagon and tank container company, Ste de Transport et Manutentions Industriels SA (Stemi) from Cie de Navigation Mixte SA. NBH will take a further 69.8 M 20c shares at a premium of 5c each, giving it 63 per cent of Norgold’s expanded capital of 240.5 M shares. Nat Blood div National Bloodstock, Ltd, will pay an interim dividend for the year ending March 31 of 2.5 c per an ordinary share (5 per cent) payable on April 10, ex-March 24, the directors said yesterday. National Bloodstock is operating in line with its budget of $1 million tax paid for the year ending March 31. Index change Coca Cola Company and Boeing Company have been added to the leading US stock index, replacing a pair of oldline companies in an effort to keep its blue-chip list abreast of the corporate times.
