The highlight of the intensive one-day regatta is expected io be the clash between Christ’s College and St Andrew’s College in the under-19 boys fours. Both are strong crews and have not met so far this summer.
Christ’s College is favoured to win the eights, after a recent good showing against Tauranga. Christ’s, St Bede’s, and St Andrew’s all
ful scullers and oarsmen in their crews, but stiff opposition is expected from Otago B.H.S.
Among the girls, special interest will be shown in the performances of Rangi-Ruru, which is in its first season of competition. The leading crews are expected to come from Nelson Girls’ College and two Dunedin schools, Kaikorai Valley and Logan Park.
