New City Planner

Mr John Dryden is the new City Planner for Christchurch. He succeeds Mr Bill Williams, who is now a building industry commissioner and a parttime corporate research officer with the council.

Mr Dryden has been Acting City Planner for some time. He joined the Christchurch City Council in 1976 as senior town planner and was appointed Assistant City Planner in 1979.

He is qualified in surveying and town planning and is an associate of the Institute of Management.
