Rape and robbery alleged
A youth, aged 16, will appear in the District Court today charged with rape and aggravated robbery after an incident in a St Albans house yesterday. A police spokesman said a youth entered the woman’s house in Carrington Street armed with a firearm and a knife about 2.40 p.m. It is alleged the offences took place and then the youth made off. A police cordon was thrown round the area and the youth was arrested about 45 minutes later.
