The journal is the official magazine of the New Zealand Society of Accountants and has a growing readership and circulation. The assistant editor would be expected to work with a small team led by the editor. The position involves all aspects of the production of a monthly magazine including sourcing and writing stories, some sub-editing, and an input into design. The position would suit somebody who wishes to begin a career in business, accounting, and economic journalism. This is one of the fastest growing areas of journalism. Someone with experience in Journalism and a wish to move into business writing or conversely someone with a background in accounting, finance or economics with a desire to write would be preferred.
