Filly wins
The New Zealand-bred filly, The Private Dancer (Clever Innocence —Hoist the Flag), won the $65,000 Edgar Tatlow Stakes, for two-year-old fillies, by nine lengths at Moonee Valley on Saturday evening. The Private Dancer, sold as a foal at foot with her dam at the 1984 National sale, started from barrier nine in the mobile 1940 metres event and after quickly making the lead, won easily in a 2:2.5 rate for the distance. Trained by Paul Fitzgerald, The Private Dancer is still unbeaten in four starts to date,
