The Christchurch police seek witnesses to an accident at the junction of Colombo Street and Roxburgh Street, Sydenham, about 2.30 a.m. yesterday, in which a cyclist was

seriously injured. Andrew Menary, aged 17, of Cashmere, suffered injuries to the head, chest, and legs when his bicycle and a Morris 1100 car collided.

He was reported seriously ill in the intensivecare unit of Christchurch Hospital last evening. The police have spoken to a woman, aged 20, who was driving the car, according to a police spokesman.
