Motor-cyclist ‘serious’

An Auckland man remains seriously ill in Christchurch Hospital after a collision between an articulated truck and a motor-cycle near Hanmer Springs on Tuesday. Russell Graham Lane, aged 31, suffered multiple injuries. His wife, Helen Julie Lane, aged 27, was killed in the accident. The couple were on a vintage Harley-Davidson motor-cycle rally which was touring the South Island.

Mr Lane was riding the ikotor-cycle and Mrs-Lane was in its sidecar.
