Rules on colours amended

PA Wellington Racehorse owners are now able to: have a greater variety ,of patterns and combinations on their silks.

The Racing Conference has amended its registration rules to 'allow new patterns including shamrocks, crescents, horseshoes, chevrons, and spotted and striped caps. Other patterns or arrangements may also be registered if they are clearly distinguishable from other registered colours.

“The change has been made to allow a better selection of colours. These new patterns should help make racedays more colourful and allow registration of a wider variety of combinations,” Nicky Lapslie, the colours registrar for the Racing Conference, said.
